A web 2.0 and Social Networking professional search service is seeking a UNIX Admin with Veritas, and Net Apps experience.
UNIX, SOLARIS, LINUX, VERITAS VOLUME MANAGER, SAN
Requirements:
* 10+ years of Unix systems experience in a 24x7 environment * 5+ years of system administration experience with Solaris/Linux. * Sun hardware, high end server experience a plus * Experience with Veritas backup and Volume Manager (VxVM) experience desirable; VERITAS Cluster Server (VCS); Sun Cluster or other High-availability service * SAN experience and Net Apps knowledge. * ECommerce site build, design and failure point analysis experience
Skills, knowledge, & abilities : * Ability to document project designs * Project management experience. * Ability to articulate advanced technical topics (e.g. process scheduling, disk and file system I/O, kernel internals, TCP/IP communications at all levels). * Manage project team and problem-solving activities. * Shell scripting (Bourne, Perl, Awk, Sed, etc.) prowess. * Ability to work on multiple projects and reprioritize as needed * Ability to stay on project or hand-off schedule and manage own time accurately and effectively * Works well with business representatives and PM*s * Ability to lead architectural design teams and lead problem-solving activities. * Facilitation and team-building skills at all levels. Ability to influence, train, mentor and leverage the skills of others, including Directors and above, to achieve objectives.
